Information I Don't Collect

Unlike many apps and websites, MyParkPin specifically does NOT collect:

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Your parking locations or GPS coordinates
• Your device information or IP address
• Your browsing history or usage patterns
• Any personal identifiers or demographic information
• Cookies or tracking data
• Analytics or performance data

How Your Location Data Works

When you use MyParkPin to save parking locations:

• GPS Access: Your browser requests location permission to access GPS
• Local Storage: Location data is saved directly to your device's local storage
• No Transmission: Location coordinates never leave your device
• Your Control: You can clear all data anytime using the "Clear Parking" button
• Browser Management: You control location permissions through your browser settings

Third-Party Services

MyParkPin uses minimal third-party services:

📍 OpenStreetMap

I display maps using OpenStreetMap tiles. When you view a map, your browser directly requests map data from OpenStreetMap servers. Please review OpenStreetMap's privacy policy for their data practices.

🔍 Nominatim Geocoding

When you manually enter addresses, I use Nominatim (OpenStreetMap's geocoding service) to convert addresses to map coordinates. This happens directly from your browser.

🗺️ Google Maps Integration

When you click "Open in Google Maps," you're redirected to Google Maps with your parking coordinates. This is handled by your browser and device, not by MyParkPin.

Browser Permissions

MyParkPin may request these browser permissions:

• Location Access: To save your current parking location using GPS
• Local Storage: To save parking data on your device
• Offline Access: To work without internet connection (Service Worker)

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your browser settings.

Data Security

Since I don't collect data, there's no central database to be breached. Your parking information is as secure as your device:

• Data is stored using browser local storage
• No transmission of sensitive information
• No server-side data storage
• Protection follows your device's security settings

Children's Privacy

MyParkPin does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since I don't collect data, I don't knowingly collect information from children.

International Use

MyParkPin can be used worldwide. Since all data processing happens locally on your device, there are no international data transfers or jurisdictional concerns.

Changes to This Policy

If I ever change my privacy practices, I will update this policy and note the revision date. However, my core commitment to not collecting user data will remain unchanged.
